《茶經》是中國乃至世界現存最早、最完整、最全面介紹茶的第一部專著。

The Classic of Tea is the first, mostcompleted and most comprehensive monograph of tea in China and the world.

茶者,南方之嘉木也。一尺、二尺乃至數十尺;其巴山峽川有兩人合抱者,伐而掇之。其樹如瓜蘆,葉如梔子,花如白薔薇,實如栟櫚,蒂如丁香,根如胡桃。

Tea, a divine treefrom southern China. It could grow to the height from 1 chi to 2 chi, and evenreach to tens of chi (1 chi≈0.33 m). In Bashan canyon, some big tea tree would grow to enormous girth that takes two people’s arms holdaround; when harvesting leaves, one needs to chop up the branches, then pluckleaves. Fresh leaves of tea look like gardenia leaves, with white-rose-like flower,palm-like seeds as well as its pedicel looks like clove's and walnut-tree-likeroot.

Tea art is acomprehensive art form that combines with literature, painting, calligraphy,music, pottery, porcelain, clothing, flower arrangement, architecture and otherart forms; all together, these art forms build up to tea art culture.

起源于中國的茶藝,后來傳播到世界各地,并與各國各地區的文化結合,形成各具特色的茶藝。茶藝是中國人對生活藝術的偉大發明,是中國人對世界文明的偉大貢獻。

Tea art originatedin China, and then spread to all parts of the world; while absorbing culturesof various countries and regions, it evolves to different tea arts in differentareas.
