茶樹是多年生、木本、常綠植物，屬山茶科、山茶屬、茶種。

茶樹頂芽和腋芽及其生長而成的新梢，是人們用來加工的茶葉原料，是最有利用價值的部位。

The apical buds, axillary buds and growing shoots oftea plant provide raw materials to be processed, which are the most valuableparts of it.

茶花為兩性花，自花授粉很少，屬異花授粉植物。盛花期在10月中旬～11月中旬。

Tea tree blossom, which flowering period last frommid-October to mid-November, is bisexual flower that makes the tree to be across-pollination plant. Self-pollination of tea tree blossom is rare.

茶果為蒴果。成熟種子的既可以用來繁育后代，也可以加工成食用油。

Tea fruits grow withcapsule, the matured seed can be utilized for breeding and oiling for edible oil.
